  • Futur3s have demonstrated care, compassion and professionalism throughout our relationship with them. Not only have they supported our child they have supported us by keeping us well informed of our child’s progress. The support and guidance is a crucial part of enhancing the child’s capabilities and future. Teaching life skills will enable the individuals to gain confidence. WELL DONE!

  • I have worked with futur3s for more than 4 years, in different houses. They are consistent, caring and passionate about the work they do with young people and most definitely want them to succeed. One of my young people told me “They listen” “they allow you to talk about your problems without judgment.”  The homes all look the same in the way they are furnished, young person friendly and homely. They are given a welcome pack, to include the necessary items you need such as toiletries, towels and beds made with nice bedding. The staff team are generally the same in each house allowing the young people to build positive professional relationships with the staff. The applies to those sessional staff that cover holidays and sickness. As a professional I have always been greeted well and communication is very good.

  • I am aware of a number of young people who have been placed with Futures and I have visited a number of their properties. I am always impressed with the quality of their accommodation and with the relationships that I can see they have developed with the young people that are placed with them. I have taken part in discussions with case working colleagues about individual young people placed with Futures and have never heard any negative criticism about them. They provide a high standard of support and, from what I have seen, recruit staff that fit in with their values that are keen to provide person-centered support. They are not the cheapest of our providers and that can sometimes make the decision to place a young person with them a more complex one. However, I am always happy with the level of support they provide and with the progress young people make whilst in their provision

  • I find staff at Futures incredibly child/young person centred and knowledgeable in relation to trauma and healthy development Focus on the wellbeing, healthy development of the young person to be at the heart of their work. I always find that Futures staff have the time to discuss and have reflective conversations about young people in their care, which ultimately, has a positive impact on how we all work as an MDT to support the young person.

  • X has been placed with you since turning 18, being with Futur3’s for the best part of a year and a half. X would say himself that he was in a difficult spot on his return to Somerset and was provided a fresh start from you. I would say that especially the first 6 months, X thrived in the environment, making positive strides with his ETE and behaviour. X views the placement in high regard, which I believe is due to the team presenting the home well and encouraging the young people to keep it clean and tidy. X has responded positively to the staff team and has begun to be supported by females on occasions, which is a credit to the staff team and the work that has gone in. Overall, I feel that X has done well over the course of time in this accommodation, now having to move on due to commissioning rather than any incidents he has caused. I appreciate all the work you and the team have put in and the stability that X has been offered.

  • I have had a young person in placement at Futur3s for the last year and a half to two years coming up to their 18th birthday. Prior to this the young person had placement moves after short periods due to the complex nature of the young persons’ needs. I have been utterly impressed by the level of understanding managers and staff at the home have developed of the young person and strategies to develop a relationship and engagement with them. There have been added difficulties with a complex familial relationship for the young person, missing episodes and allegations from the young person but feel that placement have managed all of these well and kept the young person safe. As the allocated worker I feel confident in Futur3s staff ability to manage situations without needing to rely on my input but have always felt that I have been informed of incidents in a timely manner.

  • We are writing to thank you for your kind donation before Christmas. Our sack of smiles campaign was a massive success and made a real difference to our clients. Many of them view Christmas as a difficult time of year due to the cold weather but also it can be a hard time for them emotionally. Being able to give vital supplies that will keep them comfortable and warm is so important but equally so is giving them small gifts and luxuries to help them feel human. We could not have achieved such success without your kind donation; the roll mats and sleeping bags were especially well received. We really appreciate your continued support year after year; it makes such a big difference in enabling us to help people who are homeless in Taunton.

  • In my experience Futur3s South West was able to create and deliver a high quality bespoke, individualised service for a complex individual whose pattens of behaviours had challenged many other services, adapting the support and help they offered to meet his changing needs. They were able to make a lasting difference to this youngster’s life, demonstrating that skills, dedication and imagination can transform outcomes for those who are vulnerable, marginalised, misunderstood and angry.

  • Futures South West staff have delivered some excellent support to young person who was working with Devon Youth Offending Service in the last couple of years. This support has been targeted at enabling him to gain greater confidence in his own abilities, including working through some very difficult early life experiences. This, in turn, has assisted the young people in moving away from offending and making some real improvements in their lives. Devon Youth Offending Service would welcome further work with Futures South West in the future to continue to make a real difference to young people.

  • While X was at the placement, I felt that there was an excellent balance of support for X and promoting him to be more independent. This is a hard balance for placements to achieve, however in X’s case I felt that it was achieved and as a result the young man who left the placement was far more equipped to deal with adult life than when he arrived. X was a very complex young man who struggled to develop trust and positive relationships with professionals, however it was clear that he trusted and respected the staff working with him in a way that he did not with many other people in his life.

  • I have been working with X, as her allocated worker since 22/11/20 when she turned 18. X has been at placement with Futur3 since July 2020. The staff team stay in contact with me on a regular basis. I have weekly reports of what X is doing and if there are any concerns. They have worked hard, and their perseverance is evident to where X is today. They follow what is set out in the contract, they also encourage, assist, and advise X in undertaking the independent living short course booklet. They have also encouraged X to seek work and encourage her to look at her future in terms of training. X, will however, dig her heals in at times, but the staff team are able to get her to see the reasons on why she is being asked to do things and how this will enable her to move on in a positive way. She is also aware that it is down to her to do these things. Working with Futur3 has been a pleasure. The staff are pleasant team, and nothing is too much trouble if you phone or call. They have managed the Covid lockdowns well. X accommodation is of an excellent standard and young person friendly, not "old and fudy dudy". This brings respect and ownership of their space and aspirations of what can be achieved in the future.

  • Thank you so, so much to you, Simon and Ryan for dropping off the huge sleeping bag donation. We're absolutely thrilled and so grateful for your generosity. We did a sleeping bag delivery to our veteran's accommodation so they now have a stock and Outreach can source sleeping bags from here too. We've also still got some ready to go to the rough sleeper drop-in centre in Bridgwater. Your donation is going to help so many people.

  • X joined Future3 at a very testing time for our family and they provided a beautifully presented and inviting placement for X with an incredibly generous gift for Christmas ordered for him on his arrival which certainly got his attention and gratitude for a short period of time. X was sleeping rough in a chaotic, risky and angry frame of mind and so a warm bed and attentive staff were just what he needed. X’s self-care was not good and his need for a safe place, structured day with boundaries was so important for him. The staff did their best to encourage X into a structured day alongside independent living with self-care choices - despite all the difficulties Lockdown presented to their putting together of a plan for X the team were very willing and flexible at listening to us his family to help meet X’s needs and present a wider picture of X struggle. We always had a sense that the team wanted the best for X and they had a set procedure which seemed to work for their other clients. X certainly presented with a curved ball which Futur3s were committed to try and meet his need with - always giving reasons to their actions with X. We would certainly recommend Futur3s as a much needed, high quality and caring placement for youngsters. Kind regards and many thanks again for all you and your kind staff did for us and X and hope one day X can respond himself to the time he spent with you.

  • Thank you so much for the work that you have put in for X's introduction this week. The house looked amazing and the staff were great. We really appreciate the effort put in to come and meet him outside of your working hours in the house. It really put his mind at ease to meet such lovely people and he has spoken really positively about how nice you all are. Thank you again for such positive introductions.
